Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses made with polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced using polyfoam base layers. Is Helix Owned By Nectar
Helix Sleep offers full mattress customization. Purchasers are asked to fill out a questionnaire that asks for their weight, height, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other factors. Based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following six mattress variants; each respective option gives a unique combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them optimal for side sleepers. While hybrids that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are ideal for all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel more comfortable on models with balanced support, while those who weigh 130 pounds or more often favor the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both of these variants have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them great for couples with differing tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier individuals. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a large assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also have strong edge support, isolate movement well, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Is Helix Owned By Nectar

Construction Is Helix Owned By Nectar
All nine of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction will be fairly similar. The 6 core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in density and firmness depending on the foams utilized in order to attain more/less support and more/less firmness. The 4 unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the mattresses have all of the foams – some only have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the purchaser. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer 9 different models (and hopefully have a model for everybody). Is Helix Owned By Nectar
Underneath, I briefly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some great breathability. But, if you would like something more luxurious, you can elect to swap out the normal cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – On top, you will find a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, meaning you are probably going to encounter some great body shaping. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firm bed to make use of a memory foam layer, it’s crucial to remember that the presence of deep sinkage doesn’t necessarily translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After getting past the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you hit the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress is made up of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system brings a supportive lift into the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, instead of “in it”. Since these coils are individually wrapped, they’re also likely to encourage additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you will uncover a thin section of high-density poly foam. This segment doesn’t really affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to give the pocketed coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s chat about their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness level of the Helix is going to differ widely depending on the variant you choose. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and thus very popular. If you have more specific requirements, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to oblige you with additional choices.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam comfort layer is soft and produces some quality body contouring, while the other materials in the Midnight work to counteract this and make an overall firmer structure. The firmer support foams and individually-wrapped coils also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there is just enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lower spine while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier sleepers or those who want a firmer bed, there are two more choices for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn variants.
Majority of side sleepers will feel totally comfortable on the Midnight, however, if you’re wanting less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you may decide to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a small bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically need to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with most of their weight on a tinier region. People who are smaller than average or those looking for plenty of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers will feel supported in the Midnight, especially if this is not their primary position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their backbone.
Last, Helix Sleep recommends Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or partners that weigh a maximum of 250 lbs each. If you or your partner are substantially bigger than average, the company has also created a bed called the Nightfall that is built to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with different types of bodies or preferences can also select a dual comfort option that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of these models sound quite right, you could always check out the four other variants in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress of the bunch).
Now, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that’s detectable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this will be significant for many people, those who doze with a partner may find it especially interesting as it will illuminate just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. According to my research, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the individually wrapped coils that help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper concerned that motion from the other side of the mattress will bother you, you shouldn’t have much concern with this mattress. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses would be a good choice for couples.
While purchasing a brand-new mattress, most men and women wish to know whether they’ll feel as though they are sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you may encounter some immediate sinkage in the soft foam at the top, by the time you sink through those layers, you are going to find the individually-wrapped coils and find amazing support. This combo will appeal to a wide assortment of individuals, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the memory foam compress as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the individually-wrapped coils prevent the mattress from compressing too much beyond that. I feel very secure sitting on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their recently updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but lying on the side should feel comfy and safe. Partners who need more space to stretch out normally love strong edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll fall over or be pushed off the mattress. Overall, I believe that the Helix has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they usually come with. Helix Mattress is not any different. You customize the mattress that’s intended for you, place your order, and within a couple of weeks, it is delivered to your home. From the minute you click to purchase the mattress, you have 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t what you wanted, you can return it for free of charge, and receive a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. Actually, Helix Sleep locates a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it is recycled instead. Is Helix Owned By Nectar
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it comes with limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most warranties). Of course, you must be the original owner of the Helix to make use of the warranty, and you need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty should be valid. That means you need to use a proper foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4” apart) and that you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to have an indentation of 1” or longer, which is what generally happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it is recommended that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For regular cleanup, it is advised to use cool water with gentle dish detergent to clean any stains or dirt. Make sure to clean using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.
