Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses made with polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced with polyfoam base layers. Helix Sleeper Earrings
Helix Sleep offers complete mattress customization. Customers are urged to complete a questionnaire that asks for their weight, height, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other factors. Then based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress models; each respective variant offers a unique combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them perfect for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses with moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel more comfortable on variants with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 lbs or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 variants with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both of these mattresses have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them suitable for couples with differing preferences. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier people. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection conforms to sleepers with a wide range of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate movement well, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Sleeper Earrings

Construction Helix Sleeper Earrings
All 9 of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be rather similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness depending on the foams used in order to achieve more/less firmness and more/less support. The 4 unique foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the beds have all of the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really won’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine different mattresses (and supposedly have a model for everyone). Helix Sleeper Earrings
Underneath, I quickly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some wonderful breathability. However, if you would like something more lavish, you can opt to swap out the regular cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase change fabric to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll encounter a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, which means you’re probably going to experience some gratifying body contouring. While it might seem strange for a purportedly medium firm mattress to feature a memory foam comfort layer, it’s important to remember that the existence of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it generates quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you will uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the individually wrapped coils underneath.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress is made up of this section of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they are also going to give additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you’ll discover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This layer doesn’t affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s chat about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix will vary widely depending on the model you choose. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and therefore very popular. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to provide you with more options.
Lying down on the Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and generates some quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials in the mattress work to counteract this and make an overall firmer structure. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s enough good comfort material here to conform to your lumbar while supporting your whole back in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or people who prefer a firmer bed, there are two more models for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Most side sleepers should feel totally comfortable on the Midnight, but, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still sticking with a flexible medium firmness, you may want to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and provides the surface a small bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be more mindful of pressure since they sleep with all their weight on a tinier area. Those who are smaller than average or those looking for a lot of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher models.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel supported in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their primary position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Lastly, the manufacturer suggests Helix mattresses for sleepers up to 350 lbs or couples who weigh up to 250 pounds each. In the event you or your spouse are significantly larger than average, the company has also created a bed called the Nightfall that’s created to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 pounds.
Partners with differing types of bodies or preferences may also pick a dual comfort model that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of those options sound right, you can always check out the 4 other beds in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant in the collection).
Next up, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is detectable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this will be important for all sleepers, those who sleep with a spouse may find it particularly interesting as it’ll illuminate just how bothered you may be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Helix Sleeper Earrings
According to my research, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space due to the quantity and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the pocketed coils which help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper concerned that motion from the opposite side of the bed will bother you, you should not have a lot of concern with this hybrid. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
When buying a brand-new mattress, the majority of individuals wish to know whether they will feel like they are sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
While you may encounter some immediate sinkage from the soft foam at the top, by the time you sink through those layers, you are going to reach the pocketed coils and experience fantastic support. This combo will interest a vast assortment of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers the most.
While I do feel the memory foam compress as I sit near the edge of the bed, the pocketed coils prevent the mattress from compressing too much . I feel quite secure seated on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is because of their freshly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfy and safe. Couples who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Laying down, I also feel like I could get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will fall off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I think the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of buying a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically include. Helix Sleep is no different. You customize the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and in a couple of weeks, it’s sent to your home. From the moment you click to purchase the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not ideal, you can return it for free of charge, and get a complete refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. In fact, Helix Sleep finds a local place to donate it. When there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Sleeper Earrings
Helix Sleep offers a generous 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it has a few limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most warranties). Of course, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the guarantee, and you will need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty should be valid. That means you will need to have a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4” apart) and that you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to show an indentation of 1 inch or more, something that generally happens when low-density foams break down, then you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it’s suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleanup, it’s advised to use cold water with gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make certain to clean using soft circular motions, rather than rubbing.
