Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured using dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified using polyfoam base layers. Helix Sleep Revenue
Helix Sleep gives you complete mattress customization. Buyers are asked to complete a questionnaire that discusses their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other options. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following six mattress options; each individual option gives a unique combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep hybrids that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them perfect for side sleepers. While those that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel more comfortable on variants with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and extra support). Both these models have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them ideal for couples with differing tastes. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for larger, heavier people. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable aspect conforms to sleepers with a large range of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Sleep Revenue

Construction Helix Sleep Revenue
All 9 of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be quite similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density based on the foams used in order to get more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the variants have all the foams – some just have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer 9 unique mattresses (and supposedly have a model for everyone). Helix Sleep Revenue
Below, I briefly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I thought it to be thin and stretchy, allowing for some great breathability. But, if you prefer something more amped up, you can elect to swap out the normal cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material to regulate heat.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll discover a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, which means you’re likely to experience some great body shaping. Even though it may seem strange for a supposedly medium firm bed to feature a memory foam layer, it is important to remember that the existence of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After getting past the comfort layer, you’ll discover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and establish a supportive, medium firm feel as you hit the individually wrapped coils underneath.
Support Layer – The bulk of the mattress is made up of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system brings a supportive lift into the construction, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Because these coils are wrapped individually, they are also going to give additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you’ll find a thin section of high-density poly foam. This section does not affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let us chat about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix will vary widely depending on which version you pick out. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and thus best-selling. If you have more specific requirements, however, Helix Sleep is happy to oblige you with additional options.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the uppermost foam comfort layer is soft and generates some high quality body shaping, while the rest of the materials within the mattress work to control this and create an overall firmer composition. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lumbar while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or people who prefer a firmer mattress, there are two more models for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Many side sleepers should feel totally comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are wanting a bit less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you may decide to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with most of their weight on a tinier region. People who are lighter than average or those in the market for plenty of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this is not their main position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so that they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their backbone.
Last, the manufacturer recommends Helix for sleepers up to 350 lbs or couples that weigh up to 250 pounds each. In the event you or your partner are significantly larger than average, Helix has also produced a mattress called the Nightfall that is created to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with differing body types or preferences can also select a dual comfort option that pairs Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of those options seem right, you may always have a look at the 4 other models in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the line).
Now, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is detectable from 1 side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be crucial for all sleepers, those who doze with a spouse may find it especially intriguing as it’ll show just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Sleep Revenue
Based on my observation, Helix exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the individually wrapped coils which help trap motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper afraid that movement from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, then you should not have much concern with this hybrid. I’d say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
While purchasing a new mattress, most men and women wish to know whether they will feel as though they’re sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you are going to experience some immediate sinkage in the soft foam at the top, when you sink through those layers, you’ll find the individually-wrapped coils and feel amazing support. This combo will appeal to a wide range of individuals, but will satisfy stomach and back sleepers in particular.
While I do feel the foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the Helix Midnight, the pocketed coils stop the mattress from compressing too much beyond that. I feel quite secure seated on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their freshly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There may be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but lying on the side should feel comfortable and safe. Couples who want more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll fall off or be ejected from the bed. Overall, I believe the Helix mattress has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually include. Helix is not any different. You create the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and within 2 weeks, it is sent to your door. From the minute you click to purchase the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it free, and receive a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. In fact, Helix does its best to locate a local place to donate it. If there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Sleep Revenue
Helix offers an amazing 10-year warranty that covers flaws, but it comes with some limitations, exceptions, while the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most guarantees ). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to use the warranty, and you will need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you need to have a proper base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4” apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your mattress starts to show an indentation of 1” or longer, which is what typically happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a replacement or repair of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleanup, it’s suggested to use cool water along gentle dish soap to clean any stains or dirt. Be sure that you clean using gentle circular movements, rather than rubbing.
