Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses made using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix Sleep Financing
Helix Sleep offers complete mattress customization. Customers are asked to complete a questionnaire that discusses their weight, height, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other elements. Then based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress options; each respective variant provides a one-of-a-kind combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them perfect for those who sleep on their side. While those that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel most comfortable on models with balanced support, while people who weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with additional support and moderate cushioning). Both these models have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them great for couples with differing preferences. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier individuals. This model has an extra layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a wide assortment of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Sleep Financing

Construction Helix Sleep Financing
All nine of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be quite similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness depending on the foams used in order to attain more/less support and more/less firmness. The four different foams used within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the beds have all the foams – some only have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer 9 unique versions (and supposedly have a mattress for everyone). Helix Sleep Financing
Underneath, I quickly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some wonderful breathability. But, if you prefer something more amped up, you can choose to swap out the normal cover for the UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase change material to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll find a thick layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, which means you’re likely to experience some satisfying body contouring. While it might seem odd for a supposedly medium firmness mattress to feature a memory foam layer, it is important to remember that the presence of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in actuality, most of the time it generates quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you’ll find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to curb the sinkage of the comfort layer and set a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress is made up of this segment of pocketed coils. This system brings a supportive lift to the construction, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, as opposed to “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they are also likely to encourage additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you’ll discover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This segment does not really affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s chat about their varying feels and firmness levels.
The firmness of the Helix will vary widely depending on the version you choose. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which tends to be very versatile and thus best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to provide you with more options.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the uppermost foam layer feels soft and generates some high quality body contouring, while the other materials within the Midnight work to control this and create an overall firmer composition. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material in the Helix Midnight to conform to your lower spine while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or people who prefer a firmer bed, there are two more models for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight models.
Many side sleepers will feel totally comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you might want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be mindful of pressure because they sleep with all their weight on a tinier region. Those who are lighter than average or people looking for lots of pressure relief may want to stick to the plusher models.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this isn’t their main position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer choices might be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their back.
Lastly, the manufacturer suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or partners who weigh up to 250 lbs each. If you or your partner are significantly bigger than average, Helix has also created a bed called the Nightfall that’s constructed to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing body types or preferences can also pick a dual comfort option that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if neither of these options feel right, you may always have a look at the four other mattresses in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option in the line).
Now, let’s talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is detectable from 1 side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be important for many sleepers, those who sleep with a partner may find it especially intriguing as it will show just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. According to my research, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it incorporates, in addition to the pocketed coils which help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper worried that movement from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, then you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this mattress. I’d say that any of the Helix mattresses would be a good option for couples.
While getting a new mattress, the majority of people would like to know whether they will feel like they’re sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you are likely to encounter a little immediate sinkage from the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through those layers, you will find the pocketed coils and feel fantastic support. This combination will appeal to a vast range of individuals, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
Though I do feel the memory foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the Helix Midnight, the pocketed coils prevent the mattress from collapsing too much beyond that. I feel quite secured seated on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, and this is because of their freshly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be some compression at the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but lying on the side will feel comfortable and secure. Partners who want more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Laying down, I feel like I can get near the edge of the bed without feeling like I will roll off or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I believe that the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically include. Helix Mattress is no different. You customize the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and in a couple of weeks, it is sent to your door. From the moment you click to order the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not ideal, you can return it for free of charge, and receive a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not restocked or resold. Actually, the company finds a local place to donate it. If there’s no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, they have it recycled instead. Helix Sleep Financing
Helix offers an amazing 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it has some limitations, exceptions, while the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most warranties). Needless to say, you must be the original owner of the Helix to make use of the guarantee, and you will need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you need to use a proper foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress begins to show an indentation of 1” or more, something that generally happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no turning, but it’s suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s suggested to use cool water along gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make certain that you clean using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.
