Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix Mattress Payment
Helix Sleep gives you full mattress customization. Buyers are asked to complete a survey that asks for their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other factors. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following six mattress options; each individual model gives a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses with targeted cushioning conform closely, making them optimal for those who sleep on their side. While those with moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfortable on models with balanced support, while people who weigh 130 lbs or more tend to prefer the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 variants with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both these variants have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, making them great for couples with differing preferences. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier people. This model has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a large assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate motion transfer nicely, and produce less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Mattress Payment

Construction Helix Mattress Payment
All nine of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be quite similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density depending upon the foams used in order to get more/less firmness and more/less support. The four different foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the beds have all of the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really won’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine unique versions (and hopefully have a mattress for everyone). Helix Mattress Payment
Below, I concisely discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some great breathability. But, if you prefer something more lavish, you can elect to swap out the regular cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase change material to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll encounter a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, which means you are probably going to encounter some gratifying body shaping. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firmness bed to make use of a memory foam layer, it’s important to remember that the presence of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After getting past the comfort layer, you will discover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and establish a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this segment of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to put the sleeper “on top” of the bed, as opposed to “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they are also going to encourage additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you will uncover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This section doesn’t affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s chat about their varying firmness levels and feels.
The firmness level of the Helix is going to vary widely depending on the model you choose. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have medium firmness levels, which tends to be very versatile and therefore very popular. If you have more specific requirements, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to oblige you with more options.
Lying down on the Midnight, the memory foam layer feels soft and generates some quality body shaping, while the other materials in the Midnight work to control this and create an overall firmer composition. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there is just enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lower spine while supporting your whole back in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or people who prefer a firmer mattress, there are two more models for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn variants.
Many side sleepers will feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, but, if you’re wanting a bit less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you might decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically need to be mindful of pressure because they sleep with all of their weight on a smaller region. Those who are lighter than average or people in the market for plenty of pressure relief may want to stay with the plusher models.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel supported in the Midnight, especially if this isn’t their main position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can ensure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their backbone.
Finally, Helix Sleep suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 pounds or couples who weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. In the event you or your partner are significantly larger than average, Helix has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that is constructed to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with different types of bodies or tastes can also select a dual comfort variant that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of these models seem right, you can always check out the four other models in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant of the bunch).
Now, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that is detectable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be significant for many people, those who sleep with a partner may find it particularly interesting as it will illuminate just how bothered you’ll be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Based on my observation, Helix exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it contains, as well as the individually wrapped coils which help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper concerned that motion from the other side of the bed will wake you, you should not have a lot of concern with this hybrid. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses would be a good choice for couples.
While purchasing a brand-new mattress, most people would like to know whether they’ll feel like they are sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you’re going to encounter a little immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, when you sink through these layers, you’ll reach the individually-wrapped coils and find amazing support. This combo will appeal to a wide range of sleepers, but will satisfy stomach and back sleepers in particular.
Though I do feel the memory foam collapse as I sit close to the edge of the bed, the coils prevent the mattress from collapsing too much . I feel quite secured sitting on the mattress.
In my view, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their freshly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side should feel comfortable and secure. Partners who need more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Lying down, I also feel like I can get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will roll off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe the Helix has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of buying a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they typically include. Helix Mattress is no different. You customize the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and within two weeks, it’s delivered to your home. From the moment you click to purchase the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to check it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not ideal, you can return it free, and receive a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not restocked or resold. In fact, Helix Sleep locates a local place to donate it. When there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Mattress Payment
Helix Sleep offers a generous 10-year warranty that covers flaws, but it has a few limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the customer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you should be the first owner of the Helix to make use of the guarantee, and you will need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to use a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4” apart) and that you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your mattress starts to show an indentation of 1 inch or more, something that typically happens when low-density foams break down, then you could qualify for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to prevent it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For routine cleaning, it’s advised to use cool water along gentle dish detergent to clean any dirt or stains. Make sure that you wash using gentle circular movements, rather than rubbing.
