Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses made using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced with polyfoam base layers. Helix Lawsuit
Helix Sleep offers full mattress customization. Buyers are asked to complete a survey that asks for their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following six mattress variants; each individual variant provides a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep hybrids that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them perfect for those who sleep on their side. While those that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel more comfortable on models with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 pounds or more tend to prefer the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both these mattresses have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them suitable for couples with differing preferences. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for larger, heavier people. This variant has an additional layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect conforms to sleepers with a wide assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Lawsuit

Construction Helix Lawsuit
All nine of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be fairly similar. The 6 core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in firmness and density based on the foams utilized in order to achieve more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the variants have all the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really won’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine different models (and hopefully have a mattress for everyone). Helix Lawsuit
Underneath, I briefly discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be thin and stretchy, allowing for some nice breathability. However, if you prefer something more lavish, you can choose to swap out the standard cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change fabric for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll discover a thick layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re likely to experience some satisfying body contouring. While it might seem odd for a supposedly medium firmness bed to incorporate a memory foam comfort layer, it is crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it generates quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you will uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the pocketed coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress is made up of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the construction, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, as opposed to “in it”. Because these coils are wrapped individually, they’re also likely to encourage additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you’ll discover a thin section of high-density poly foam. This layer doesn’t really affect the feel of the bed too much, working mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After having a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their varying firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix will vary widely depending on which model you select. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have medium firmness levels, which will be very versatile and therefore best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep is happy to oblige you with more choices.
Laying down on the Midnight, the uppermost foam layer feels soft and produces some quality body shaping, while the other materials within the mattress work to counteract this and make an overall firmer structure. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s enough good comfort material in the Midnight to conform to your lower spine while supporting your whole upper spine in a neutral position. For larger buyers or people who prefer a firmer bed, there are two more models for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Many side sleepers will feel totally comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you might want to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with most of their weight on a smaller region. Those who are smaller than average or people in the market for plenty of pressure relief might want to stay with the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this is not their main position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their back.
Finally, Helix Sleep recommends Helix mattresses for sleepers around 350 pounds or partners who weigh up to 250 lbs each. If you or your partner are significantly bigger than average, the company has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that is created to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with different types of bodies or preferences can also select a dual comfort variant that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if neither of those models feel right, you may always have a look at the four other models in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress of the bunch).
Now, let’s talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that’s detectable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this will be important for all people, those who doze with a partner may find it especially interesting as it will illuminate just how bothered you may be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Lawsuit
According to my research, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space due to the quantity and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the pocketed coils that help trap motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper worried that movement from the opposite side of the mattress will bother you, you should not have much concern with this hybrid. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
While getting a brand-new mattress, most people want to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you may encounter a little immediate sinkage from the soft foam at the top, when you sink through these layers, you will hit the pocketed coils and feel great support. This combination will appeal to a wide assortment of sleepers, but will satisfy stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the foam collapse as I sit close to the edge of the Helix Midnight, the coils stop the mattress from compressing a lot . I feel quite secured sitting on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their recently updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but lying on the side will feel comfortable and safe. Partners who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Lying down, I feel like I can get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will roll over or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think that the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually include. Helix Mattress is no different. You customize the mattress that’s intended for you, place your order, and in 2 weeks, it’s sent to your door. From the moment you click to purchase the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t what you wanted, you can return it for free, and receive a complete refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. Actually, the company finds a local place to donate it. When there’s no way the company can find a way to donate your returned mattress, they have it recycled instead. Helix Lawsuit
Helix offers an amazing 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it comes with a few limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you will need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to have a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4” apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress starts to show an indentation of 1 inch or more, which is what typically happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a replacement or repair of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no flipping, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to prevent it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s advised to use cold water with gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make certain to clean using gentle circular motions, instead of rubbing.
