Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured using dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix Jewelry
Helix Sleep gives you full mattress customization. Customers are asked to complete a questionnaire that asks for their weight, height, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress models; each individual variant gives a unique combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them ideal for side sleepers. While those with moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are suitable for all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel more comfortable on models with balanced support, while those who weigh 130 pounds or more often prefer the variants with additional support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with additional support and moderate cushioning). Both of these models have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, which makes them ideal for couples with different tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier people. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a wide assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement well, and produce less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Jewelry

Construction Helix Jewelry
All nine of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be fairly similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in density and firmness based on the foams used in order to get more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the models have all the foams – some just have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine different variants (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Helix Jewelry
Below, I quickly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I found it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some wonderful breathability. However, if you prefer something more amped up, you can elect to swap out the normal cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase-change material for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll discover a thick layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re probably going to experience some great body shaping. Even though it may seem odd for a purportedly medium firmness bed to feature a memory foam layer, it is important to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you’ll find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the comfort layer and set a supportive, medium firm feeling as you hit the pocketed coils below.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, as opposed to “in it”. Since the coils are wrapped individually, they’re also going to allow extra breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you will discover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This section does not affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s talk about their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness of the Helix is going to differ widely depending on which version you select. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and thus best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to oblige you with more options.
Lying down on the Midnight, the uppermost foam layer is soft and produces some quality body shaping, while the other materials within the Midnight work to control this and make an overall firmer composition. The firmer support foams and pocketed coils also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there is enough good comfort material here to conform to your lower spine while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier sleepers or those who prefer a firmer mattress, there are two more models for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Majority of side sleepers should feel totally comfy on the Midnight, but, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still sticking with a flexible medium firmness, you may decide to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a little bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with all of their weight on a tinier area. People who are smaller than average or those looking for plenty of pressure relief may want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel supported in the Midnight, especially if this is not their main position or they have a tendency to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so that they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their backbone.
Finally, the manufacturer suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 pounds or partners that weigh a maximum of 250 lbs each. If you or your spouse are substantially bigger than average, Helix has also created a bed called the Nightfall that is built to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with differing types of bodies or tastes can also pick a dual comfort model that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of those models sound right, you may always check out the 4 other variants in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option of the bunch).
Next up, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that is detectable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this will be important for many buyers, those who sleep with a partner may find it especially intriguing as it will illuminate just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Jewelry
Based on my observation, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it incorporates, in addition to the individually wrapped coils that help trap motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper worried that motion from the other side of the mattress will bother you, you shouldn’t have much concern with this hybrid. I’d say that any of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
While buying a new mattress, most individuals would like to know whether they will feel as though they are sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
While you’re likely to experience a little immediate sinkage in the soft foam at the top, when you sink through these layers, you will hit the pocketed coils and feel great support. This combo will appeal to a vast assortment of individuals, but will suit back and stomach sleepers in particular.
Though I do feel the foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the Helix Midnight, the pocketed coils stop the mattress from compressing a lot beyond that. I feel very secured sitting on the mattress.
In my view, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their recently updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There can be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side should feel comfortable and safe. Couples who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will fall off or be pushed off the mattress. Overall, I believe the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of buying a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually include. Helix is not any different. You create the mattress that is made for you, place your order, and within a couple of weeks, it is delivered to your home. From the moment you click to buy the mattress, you have 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it for free, and receive a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. In fact, Helix does its best to find a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, they have it recycled instead. Helix Jewelry
Helix offers a generous 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it comes with a few limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you must be the first owner of the Helix to make use of the warranty, and you will need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you will need to use a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your Helix begins to show an indentation of 1 inch or more, something that usually happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excessive sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s suggested to use cold water along gentle dish detergent to clean any stains or dirt. Make sure to clean using gentle circular movements, instead of rubbing.
