Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured using dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix Israel
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to complete a survey that asks for their weight, height, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Then based on these results, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following six mattress options; each individual option offers a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep hybrids with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them ideal for side sleepers. While hybrids that have moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are ideal for all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel more comfy on variants with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 pounds or more often prefer the models with additional support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both these mattresses have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them great for couples with differing preferences. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for larger, heavier individuals. This mattress has an additional layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a wide assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also have strong edge support, isolate movement well, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Israel

Construction Helix Israel
All 9 of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction will be quite similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density based upon the foams used in order to attain more/less firmness and more/less support. The 4 different foams utilized within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the mattresses have all of the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine different mattresses (and supposedly have a mattress for everybody). Helix Israel
Underneath, I quickly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some great breathability. However, if you would like something more luxurious, you can opt to swap out the regular cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase change fabric for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll encounter a thick layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re probably going to experience some gratifying body shaping. While it might seem odd for a supposedly medium firmness bed to incorporate a memory foam comfort layer, it’s important to remember that the existence of deep sinkage doesn’t necessarily translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it gives quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you will discover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the comfort layer and establish a supportive, medium firm feel as you hit the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – The bulk of the mattress consists of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, as opposed to “in it”. Because these coils are wrapped individually, they are also going to allow extra breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you’ll find a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This segment doesn’t really affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to give the pocketed coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix is going to vary widely depending on the version you select. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have moderate firmness levels, which is going to be very versatile and thus very popular. If you have more specific requirements, however, Helix Sleep is happy to oblige you with more choices.
Laying down on the Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and produces some quality body contouring, while the other materials in the mattress work to control this and make an overall firmer structure. The firmer support foams and individually-wrapped coils also assist with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there’s just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lower spine while supporting your back in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or people who want a firmer mattress, there are two more options for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn models.
Majority of side sleepers should feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, but, if you’re wanting less pressure while still sticking with a flexible medium firmness, you may decide to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a small bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with all their weight on a smaller region. People who are lighter than average or those in the market for lots of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach will feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their main position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their back.
Lastly, the manufacturer suggests Helix mattresses for sleepers up to 350 lbs or partners that weigh up to 250 pounds each. In the event you or your partner are substantially bigger than average, Helix has also created a bed called the Nightfall that is created to accommodate a total weight of 1000 pounds.
Couples with differing body types or preferences may also pick a dual comfort variant that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of these options seem quite right, you may always check out the 4 other beds in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, a little firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress of the bunch).
Next up, let’s talk about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that is noticeable from 1 side of the mattress to the other. While this will be significant for many sleepers, those who doze with a partner may find it especially intriguing as it’ll show just how bothered you will be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Helix Israel
According to my research, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, as well as the pocketed coils which help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper worried that motion from the other side of the mattress will wake you, then you should not have much concern with this hybrid. I’d say that all of the Helix mattresses would be a good choice for couples.
While purchasing a new mattress, the majority of people would like to know whether they will feel as though they are sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it.
Even though you may experience some immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through those layers, you will reach the individually-wrapped coils and experience fantastic support. This combination will interest a vast assortment of individuals, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers in particular.
Though I do feel the foam collapse as I sit close to the edge of the bed, the coils stop the mattress from collapsing too much . I feel quite secure seated on the mattress.
In my view, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their freshly updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There can be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but lying on the side should feel comfortable and safe. Couples who need more space to stretch out typically appreciate strong edges.
Lying down, I feel like I could get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll fall over or be pushed off the mattress. Overall, I think that the Helix has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of buying a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually include. Helix Mattress is no different. You create the mattress that is meant for you, place your order, and within 2 weeks, it is sent to your home. From the minute you click to order the mattress, you have 100 nights to check it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t perfect, you can return it free of charge, and receive a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. Actually, the company finds a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Israel
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it has limitations, exceptions, while the burden of proof is on the customer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you must be the first owner of the Helix to make use of the guarantee, and you need to be sure you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to have a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on it!
If your Helix starts to show an indentation of 1 inch or longer, something that generally happens when low-density foams break down, then you could be eligible for a replacement or repair of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps a couple of times a year to prevent it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s suggested to use cold water along gentle dish soap to clean any stains or dirt. Be sure that you clean using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.
