Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses made using polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores fortified with polyfoam base layers. Helix India
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Customers are requested to complete a survey that asks for their weight, height, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress options; each respective variant provides a unique combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep hybrids with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them perfect for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter individuals may feel more comfortable on models with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both of these mattresses have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, which makes them ideal for couples with different tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier people. This model has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable selection conforms to sleepers with a large range of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate motion transfer nicely, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix India

Construction Helix India
All 9 of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction will be fairly similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in density and firmness based on the foams utilized in order to achieve more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the mattresses have all the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine different models (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Helix India
Underneath, I concisely talk about the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some great breathability. However, if you would like something more lavish, you can choose to swap out the standard cover for the UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase change material for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you will discover a thick layer of memory foam. This material has a slow response to pressure, meaning you are probably going to experience some satisfying body shaping. While it might seem strange for a purportedly medium firm mattress to incorporate a memory foam layer, it is crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage does not always translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you will discover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you hit the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress consists of this section of pocketed coils. This system brings a supportive lift to the construction, working to put the sleeper “on top” of the bed, as opposed to “in it”. Since these coils are wrapped individually, they are also likely to give additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you will uncover a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This segment does not affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s talk about their varying feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix will differ widely depending on the model you select. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which tends to be quite versatile and therefore very popular. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep is happy to provide you with additional options.
Laying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer feels soft and generates some quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials within the mattress work to counteract this and create an overall firmer composition. The individually-wrapped coils and the firmer support foams also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there is enough good comfort material here to conform to your lower spine while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier sleepers or people who want a firmer bed, there are two more models for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn models.
Majority of side sleepers should feel totally comfy on the Midnight, but, if you are wanting a bit less pressure while still going with a versatile medium firmness, you may want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and provides the surface a little bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be more mindful of pressure because they sleep with most their weight on a tinier region. People who are lighter than average or people in the market for a lot of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers should feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this isn’t their primary position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer choices may be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their back.
Lastly, Helix Sleep recommends Helix for sleepers around 350 pounds or partners that weigh up to 250 pounds each. In the event you or your partner are significantly larger than average, the company has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that is built to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with differing body types or preferences can also select a dual comfort variant that combines Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if neither of those options sound quite right, you may always check out the 4 other mattresses in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant of the bunch).
Now, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s detectable from one side of the bed to the other. While this is going to be crucial for all buyers, those who doze with a spouse may find it particularly intriguing as it’ll show just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix India
Based on my observation, Helix exceeds expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space because of the quantity and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the pocketed coils which help trap motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper afraid that motion from the other side of the bed will bother you, you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this mattress. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
While purchasing a brand-new mattress, the majority of people wish to know whether they will feel as though they are sinking “into” the it or lying “on top” of it.
While you may experience a little immediate sinkage from the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through those layers, you will hit the individually-wrapped coils and experience amazing support. This combo will appeal to a vast range of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers the most.
Though I do feel the memory foam collapse as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the pocketed coils stop the mattress from collapsing too much beyond that. I feel very secured sitting on the mattress.
In my view, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their recently updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There may be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfy and secure. Partners who need more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Laying down, I also feel like I can get close to the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll fall off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe that the Helix mattress has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they typically include. Helix is no different. You customize the mattress that is intended for you, place your order, and in 2 weeks, it is sent to your door. From the minute you click to order the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t ideal, you can return it for free, and receive a full refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. Actually, Helix Sleep finds a local place to donate it. When there is no way the company can find a way to donate your returned mattress, they have it recycled instead. Helix India
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year guarantee that covers flaws, but it comes with a few limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most guarantees ). Of course, you should be the original owner of the Helix to use the guarantee, and you will need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty should be valid. That means you will need to have a proper foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4” apart) and you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to show an indentation of 1” or more, something that typically happens when low-density foams break down, then you could qualify for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For routine cleaning, it’s advised to use cold water along gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Be certain that you clean using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.
