Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses made with polyfoam comfort systems, dual-layer covers, and pocketed coil support cores fortified using polyfoam base layers. Helix For Sale
Helix Sleep offers full mattress customization. Buyers are asked to complete a questionnaire that discusses their weight, height, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other options. Then based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following six mattress models; each respective model provides a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep hybrids with targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them perfect for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are great for all sleep positions. Lighter people may feel most comfortable on models with balanced support, while individuals who weigh 130 lbs or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also markets 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and extra support). Both of these mattresses have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, making them suitable for couples with differing preferences. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier individuals. This variant has an additional layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a large range of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate motion transfer well, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Helix For Sale

Construction Helix For Sale
All 9 of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction will be fairly similar. The 6 core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in density and firmness depending upon the foams used in order to attain more/less firmness and more/less support. The four different foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the models have all the foams – some only have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer nine unique versions (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Helix For Sale
Underneath, I concisely discuss the construction (materials and quality) of your average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I thought it to be stretchy and thin, allowing for some great breathability. But, if you prefer something more amped up, you can elect to swap out the standard cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material for temperature regulation.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll discover a thick layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re likely to experience some gratifying body shaping. While it might seem strange for a purportedly medium firmness bed to make use of a memory foam comfort layer, it’s crucial to remember that the presence of deep sinkage doesn’t always translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it gives quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you will find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you reach the individually wrapped coils underneath.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress consists of this segment of pocketed coils. This system gives a supportive lift into the structure, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they’re also going to allow additional breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you will find a thin section of high-density poly foam. This segment doesn’t affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their different firmness levels and feels.
The firmness level of the Helix will vary widely depending on which variant you select. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have medium firmness levels, which will be very versatile and therefore best-selling. If you have more specific preferences, however, Helix Sleep will be happy to provide you with more choices.
Laying down on the Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and generates some top quality body contouring, while the other materials within the mattress work to control this and create an overall firmer composition. The firmer support foams and pocketed coils also help with re-positioning.
For back sleepers, there is just enough good comfort material here to conform to your lower spine while supporting your whole upper spine in a neutral position. For heavier buyers or those who prefer a firmer mattress, there are 2 more models for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn models.
Majority of side sleepers will feel totally comfortable on the Midnight, however, if you are needing less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you might want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and provides the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with all of their weight on a tinier region. Those who are smaller than average or people in the market for plenty of pressure relief may want to stay with the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers should feel supported in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their primary position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can ensure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Finally, the manufacturer suggests Helix for sleepers up to 350 pounds or partners who weigh up to 250 lbs each. If you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, the company has also created a bed called the Nightfall that’s built to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing types of bodies or preferences may also select a dual comfort model that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of those options seem quite right, you could always have a look at the four other beds in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option of the bunch).
Now, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is detectable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be important for all sleepers, those who doze with a partner may find it particularly interesting as it will show just how bothered you’ll be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Based on my observation, Helix exceeds expectations for hybrids in this space because of the amount and quality of foam it contains, as well as the pocketed coils which help trap motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper concerned that motion from the other side of the bed will bother you, you shouldn’t have a lot of concern with this hybrid. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses would be a good option for couples.
While buying a brand-new mattress, the majority of people want to know whether they will feel like they are sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
While you’re going to experience some immediate sinkage in the soft foam on top, when you sink through those layers, you’ll hit the pocketed coils and find amazing support. This combo will appeal to a wide assortment of sleepers, but will suit back and stomach sleepers in particular.
While I do feel the memory foam collapse as I sit close to the edge of the bed, the individually-wrapped coils stop the mattress from collapsing too much beyond that. I feel very secured sitting on the bed.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their freshly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but lying on the side should feel comfy and safe. Couples who need more space to stretch out typically appreciate stronger edges.
Laying down, I also feel like I can get near the edge of the bed without feeling like I will fall off or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think that the Helix mattress has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of purchasing a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually come with. Helix Sleep is no different. You customize the mattress that is made for you, place your order, and in 2 weeks, it’s sent to your home. From the minute you click to purchase the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not ideal, you can return it for free of charge, and receive a full refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. Actually, Helix Sleep does its best to find a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix For Sale
Helix offers a generous 10-year warranty that covers flaws, but it has a few limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the customer (like most guarantees ). Needless to say, you must be the original owner of the Helix to use the warranty, and you will need to be sure you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all of the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you need to have a suitable base (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and that you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your Helix begins to show an indentation of 1” or more, which is what typically happens when low-density foams break down, then you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress perhaps a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For routine cleanup, it’s suggested to use cold water along gentle dish detergent to clean any stains or dirt. Make sure that you wash using gentle circular motions, rather than rubbing.
