Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses manufactured with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced with polyfoam base layers. Helix Dream Interpretations
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to fill out a questionnaire that discusses their height, weight, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other options. Based on these results, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress options; each respective variant provides a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
Helix Sleep hybrids with targeted cushioning conform closely, making them ideal for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses with moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are great for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfy on models with balanced support, while those who weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the models with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers two models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with additional support and moderate cushioning). Both of these variants have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, which makes them great for couples with differing preferences. Last, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for larger, heavier individuals. This variant has an additional layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses discovered that the customizable selection accommodates sleepers with a large assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement well, and produce less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Dream Interpretations

Construction Helix Dream Interpretations
All nine of the various iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be fairly similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density based upon the foams used in order to get more/less firmness and more/less support. The four unique foams utilized within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the variants have all the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer nine different models (and hopefully have a model for everybody). Helix Dream Interpretations
Below, I quickly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses have exactly the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I found it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some wonderful breathability. But, if you want something more lavish, you can choose to swap out the standard cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll discover a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, which means you are likely to experience some satisfying body contouring. While it might seem strange for a supposedly medium firmness bed to make use of a memory foam layer, it is important to remember that the existence of deep sinkage does not always translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feeling.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the comfort layer, you will uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to curb the sinkage of the memory foam and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you hit the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – The majority of the mattress is made up of this section of pocketed coils. This system brings a supportive lift into the construction, working to put the sleeper “on top” of the bed, as opposed to “in it”. Because these coils are wrapped individually, they are also likely to encourage additional breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you will uncover a thin section of high-density poly foam. This section doesn’t really affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to give the pocketed coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After having a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s chat about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix will vary widely depending on which model you select. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have moderate firmness levels, which is going to be quite versatile and therefore best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to provide you with additional choices.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the uppermost foam layer is soft and produces some quality body contouring, while the other materials in the mattress work to control this and create an overall firmer structure. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there is enough good comfort material in the Helix Midnight to conform to your lower spine while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or people who want a firmer bed, there are two more choices for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight models.
Majority of side sleepers should feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, but, if you are needing less pressure while still sticking with a flexible medium firmness, you might want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that is breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with most their weight on a smaller area. Those who are lighter than average or those in the market for a lot of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher variants.
Stomach sleepers will feel comfortable in the Midnight, especially if this isn’t their main position or they tend to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so that they can make sure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their back.
Finally, Helix Sleep suggests Helix for sleepers around 350 lbs or couples who weigh a maximum of 250 pounds each. If you or your spouse are substantially bigger than average, Helix has also produced a bed called the Nightfall that is made to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with differing body types or tastes can also pick a dual comfort option that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if neither of those options sound right, you may always check out the four other models in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, a little firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest option in the line).
Now, let us talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that is noticeable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be crucial for many people, those who doze with a partner may find it particularly intriguing as it’ll illuminate just how bothered you’ll be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Dream Interpretations
According to my research, Helix Sleep exceeds expectations for hybrid mattresses in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the pocketed coils that help keep motion at its source. If you’re a light sleeper worried that motion from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, you shouldn’t have much concern with this mattress. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good choice for couples.
While buying a new mattress, the majority of men and women would like to know whether they will feel like they’re sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it.
While you may encounter some immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, when you sink through these layers, you are going to find the individually-wrapped coils and find fantastic support. This combo will appeal to a vast range of sleepers, but will suit stomach and back sleepers the most.
While I do feel the memory foam compress as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the coils stop the mattress from collapsing a lot beyond that. I feel very secure sitting on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average when it comes to edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their recently updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There can be some compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfortable and safe. Partners who want more space to stretch out typically appreciate stronger edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get close to the edge of the bed without feeling like I will roll over or be pushed off the bed. Overall, I think that the Helix has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of purchasing a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they typically come with. Helix Mattress is not any different. You customize the mattress that’s meant for you, place your order, and within a couple of weeks, it is sent to your door. From the minute you click to order the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not perfect, you can return it for free, and get a full refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. Actually, Helix locates a local place to donate it. When there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Dream Interpretations
Helix Sleep offers a generous 10-year warranty that covers flaws, but it comes with some limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most guarantees ). Needless to say, you should be the first owner of the mattress to make use of the guarantee, and you need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to have a proper base (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your mattress begins to show an indentation of 1” or more, something that usually happens when low-density foams break down, you could be eligible for a replacement or repair of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no turning, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps a couple of times a year to prevent it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleaning, it’s advised to use cool water with gentle dish detergent to clean any dirt or stains. Be certain that you wash using gentle circular movements, instead of rubbing.
