Helix Sleep offers hybrid mattresses manufactured with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores enhanced using polyfoam base layers. Helix Delivery Complaints
Helix Sleep allows full mattress customization. Customers are requested to complete a questionnaire that asks for their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other options. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will suggest one of the following 6 mattress models; each individual option offers a one-of-a-kind combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses that have targeted cushioning conform closely, making them ideal for those who sleep on their side. While mattresses with moderate cushioning don’t conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel more comfy on variants with balanced support, while people that weigh 130 lbs or more often favor the variants with additional support.
Helix Sleep also offers two models with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with balanced support and targeted cushioning) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and additional support). Both of these mattresses have one ‘Soft’ side and one ‘Firm’ side, which makes them suitable for couples with different preferences. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier people. This mattress has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect accommodates sleepers with a large assortment of firmness preferences and body types. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Helix Delivery Complaints

Construction Helix Delivery Complaints
All nine of the various iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction should be rather similar. The 6 core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, made up of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density depending on the foams used in order to get more/less support and more/less firmness. The four unique foams used within Helix mattresses are memory foam, high-grade polyurethane foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all the variants have all the foams – some just have 3 of the 4 – but it really shouldn’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are just levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer 9 distinct variants (and hopefully have a mattress for everybody). Helix Delivery Complaints
Below, I concisely discuss the construction (materials and quality) of the average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses come with the same cover, made of 100 percent polyester. I thought it to be thin and pliable, allowing for some nice breathability. However, if you want something more lavish, you can choose to swap out the regular cover for the UltraCool one, which is composed of a phase-change material to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – On top, you will discover a heavy layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re probably going to experience some satisfying body shaping. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firm mattress to feature a memory foam comfort layer, it is crucial to remember that the feeling of deep sinkage doesn’t necessarily translate to softness; in actuality, oftentimes it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After sinking through the memory foam comfort layer, you’ll uncover a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to curb the sinkage of the comfort layer and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the individually wrapped coils below.
Support Layer – The bulk of the mattress consists of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system gives a supportive lift to the structure, working to position the sleeper “on top” of the bed, as opposed to “in it”. Since these coils are individually wrapped, they are also likely to encourage extra breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last, you’ll find a thin section of high-density poly foam. This segment does not really affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to react.
Firmness and Support
After taking a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s talk about their different feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix will differ widely depending on which variant you pick out. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have medium firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and therefore best-selling. If you are more particular, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to oblige you with additional choices.
Laying down on the Midnight, the memory foam layer feels soft and produces some high quality body shaping, while the other materials in the Midnight work to control this and make an overall firmer structure. The firmer support foams and pocketed coils also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there’s just enough good comfort material in the mattress to conform to your lumbar while supporting your whole back in a neutral position. For heavier sleepers or those who prefer a firmer mattress, there are two more choices for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn variants.
Many side sleepers should feel totally comfortable on the Midnight, however, if you’re needing less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you may want to take a look at the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically need to be mindful of pressure since they sleep with all their weight on a tinier region. People who are lighter than average or people looking for lots of pressure relief might want to stay with the plusher models.
Stomach sleepers should feel supported in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their primary position or they have a tendency to change things up a lot. Firmer mattresses might be preferable for exclusive tummy sleepers so that they can ensure their hips don’t dip and over-arch their back.
Last, Helix Sleep suggests Helix for sleepers up to 350 lbs or couples that weigh a maximum of 250 lbs each. If you or your partner are significantly larger than average, Helix has also produced a mattress called the Nightfall that is created to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Partners with differing body types or tastes may also select a dual comfort variant that pairs Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if neither of those models feel right, you could always check out the 4 other models in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (moderate feel, slightly firmer than the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest mattress in the line).
Next up, let’s talk about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s noticeable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this will be crucial for many people, those who sleep with a partner may find it especially interesting as it will show just how bothered you’ll be by your bed mate’s nighttime movements. Helix Delivery Complaints
Based on my observation, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the individually wrapped coils which help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper concerned that movement from the other side of the bed will wake you, then you should not have much concern with this hybrid. I’d say that all of the Helix mattresses are a good option for couples.
When getting a brand-new mattress, most people would like to know whether they’ll feel as though they are sinking “into” the mattress or lying “on top” of it.
Even though you may encounter some immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, when you sink through these layers, you’ll reach the individually-wrapped coils and experience great support. This combo will interest a vast assortment of individuals, but will suit back and stomach sleepers in particular.
While I do feel the memory foam compress as I sit near the edge of the mattress, the pocketed coils prevent the mattress from collapsing too much . I feel very secure sitting on the bed.
In my view, Helix mattresses perform above average when it comes to edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is due to their newly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil system. There can be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but laying on the side will feel comfy and safe. Partners who need more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Laying down, I feel like I could get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I’ll roll over or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I think that the Helix has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of buying a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they usually include. Helix Mattress is not any different. You create the mattress that is intended for you, place your order, and within 2 weeks, it’s delivered to your door. From the minute you click to buy the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not what you wanted, you can return it for free of charge, and receive a complete refund.
Should you return the mattress, it isn’t restocked or resold. In fact, Helix Sleep finds a local place to donate it. When there’s no way Helix can find a way to donate your refunded mattress, it is recycled instead. Helix Delivery Complaints
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year guarantee that covers flaws, but it has a few limitations, exceptions, plus the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most warranties). Needless to say, you must be the first owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all of Helix’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you will need to use a proper foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on the bed!
If your Helix begins to show an indentation of 1 inch or longer, something that usually happens when low-density foams break down, then you could be eligible for a replacement or repair of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no turning, but it is suggested that you rotate the mattress perhaps a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleanup, it is advised to use cool water with gentle dish detergent to clean any dirt or stains. Be certain to wash using soft circular movements, instead of rubbing.

The attributes of the Helix were thoughtfully constructed to deliver options whether you were looking for a mattress that stays cool all night, if you wanted one to support your curves with a thick comfort system, or both! The reinforced coil unit should provide great edge support and motion transfer is minimal with their individually-wrapped structure.
