Helix Sleep sells hybrid mattresses manufactured with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified using polyfoam base layers. Helix Bed Price
Helix Sleep offers complete mattress customization. Buyers are asked to complete a questionnaire that asks for their height, weight, sleep position, firmness preferences, and other elements. Then based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress models; each individual option offers a one-of-a-kind combination of firmness and support:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep hybrids that have targeted cushioning conform closely, which makes them optimal for side sleepers. While those that have moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are suitable for all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfortable on variants with balanced support, while individuals that weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the variants with extra support.
Helix Sleep also offers 2 mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with extra support and moderate cushioning). Both these mattresses have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them ideal for couples with different tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid developed for bigger, heavier people. This model has an extra layer of memory foam for optimum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable selection conforms to sleepers with a large assortment of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also provide strong edge support, isolate movement well, and create less noise than the average hybrid. Helix Bed Price

Construction Helix Bed Price
All 9 of the different iterations of this mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 models, the construction will be quite similar. The six core models (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of individually wrapped coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses vary in firmness and density based on the foams utilized in order to get more/less support and more/less firmness. The four different foams used within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the beds have all of the foams – some only have three of the four – but it really won’t matter much for the buyer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull in order to offer 9 unique models (and hopefully have a model for everybody). Helix Bed Price
Below, I concisely talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the average Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Initially, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I found it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some nice breathability. However, if you would like something more amped up, you can elect to swap out the standard cover for the UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase change fabric for heat regulation.
Comfort Layer – On top, you’ll encounter a heavy layer of memory foam. This material has a slow reaction to pressure, meaning you’re probably going to encounter some great body contouring. While it might seem strange for a supposedly medium firm mattress to feature a memory foam layer, it is crucial to remember that the presence of deep sinkage does not always translate to softness; in fact, most of the time it produces quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After getting past the comfort layer, you will find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer works to curb the sinkage of the comfort layer and set a supportive, medium firm feel as you reach the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress consists of this segment of individually wrapped coils. This system brings a supportive lift into the structure, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Because the coils are wrapped individually, they’re also likely to encourage extra breathability as air flows in between the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Lastly, you will find a thin segment of high-density poly foam. This segment does not really affect the feel of the mattress too much, working mostly to give the individually wrapped coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After having a peek at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s talk about their varying feels and firmness levels.
The firmness level of the Helix is going to differ widely depending on the variant you select. The Helix Dusk and Midnight, have medium firmness levels, which will be quite versatile and thus best-selling. If you have more specific needs, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to oblige you with additional choices.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer is soft and produces some high quality body contouring, while the other materials in the mattress work to control this and create an overall firmer structure. The pocketed coils and the firmer support foams also assist with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there is enough good comfort material in the Midnight to conform to your lower spine while supporting your upper spine in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or those who want a firmer bed, there are 2 more choices for you in the Helix Dawn and Helix Twilight variants.
Majority of side sleepers should feel totally comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are needing a bit less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you might want to check out the Helix Dusk, which utilizes a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and gives the surface a small bit of bounce.
Side sleepers typically have to be mindful of pressure because they sleep with all of their weight on a smaller area. People who are smaller than average or people in the market for lots of pressure relief may want to stick to the plusher variants.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their primary position or they have a tendency to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Lastly, the manufacturer suggests Helix mattresses for sleepers around 350 lbs or couples who weigh up to 250 pounds each. In the event you or your spouse are significantly bigger than average, the company has also created a mattress called the Nightfall that is made to accommodate a total weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing body types or tastes may also select a dual comfort model that combines Firm with Plush.
Bear in mind that if none of those models sound right, you can always check out the four other beds in the newest collection: the Sunset (plush, softer than the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, made for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant in the line).
Next up, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of activity that’s noticeable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this will be important for all buyers, those who sleep with a partner may find it particularly interesting as it’ll show just how bothered you may be by your partner’s nighttime movements. Helix Bed Price
Based on my observation, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it incorporates, in addition to the individually wrapped coils that help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper afraid that movement from the opposite side of the bed will wake you, then you shouldn’t have much concern with this mattress. I would say that all of the Helix mattresses would be a good choice for couples.
When getting a brand-new mattress, most men and women wish to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the it or laying “on top” of it.
While you are likely to encounter some immediate sinkage from the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through those layers, you will find the pocketed coils and find great support. This combo will appeal to a vast range of sleepers, but will suit back and stomach sleepers in particular.
Though I do feel the foam compress as I sit near the edge of the Helix Midnight, the coils stop the mattress from compressing a lot beyond that. I feel quite secure seated on the mattress.
In my view, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support compared to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their freshly updated edges that contain reinforcement in the coil unit. There may be some compression in the comfort foams when you sit with all your weight on the side, but lying on the side will feel comfy and safe. Couples who need more space to stretch out normally love strong edges.
Lying down, I feel like I could get near the edge of the mattress without feeling like I will fall off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe the Helix mattress has great edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
One of the best features of buying a bed-in-a-box online is the sleep trials that they usually include. Helix is not any different. You customize the mattress that is intended for you, place your order, and in a couple of weeks, it is sent to your door. From the minute you click to purchase the mattress, you have 100 nights to try it out (minus the time for delivery, so it’s more like 90 nights). If it isn’t what you wanted, you can return it free, and get a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it isn’t resold or restocked. Actually, the company does its best to locate a local place to donate it. If there is no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it’s recycled instead. Helix Bed Price
The Helix Mattress includes a generous 10-year warranty that covers defects, but it has some limitations, exceptions, and the burden of proof is on the consumer (like most warranties). Needless to say, you must be the first owner of the mattress to make use of the warranty, and you will need to be sure that you keep your receipt as proof of purchase.
As long as you follow all the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty will be valid. That means you need to have a suitable foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats more than 4” apart) and that you don’t use the Helix improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress begins to show an indentation of 1” or longer, which is what usually happens when low-density foams break down, then you could be eligible for a repair or replacement of your Helix.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses require no flipping, but it’s recommended that you rotate the mattress perhaps once or twice a year to prevent it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleanup, it is advised to use cool water along gentle dish soap to clean any stains or dirt. Be sure to wash using gentle circular motions, rather than rubbing.
