Helix Sleep markets hybrid mattresses manufactured with dual-layer covers, polyfoam comfort systems, and pocketed coil support cores fortified using polyfoam base layers. Carnival Helix 9 Spa Menu
Helix Sleep gives you complete mattress customization. Purchasers are urged to fill out a questionnaire that asks for their weight, height, firmness preferences, sleep position, and other factors. Based on these answers, Helix Sleep will recommend one of the following 6 mattress variants; each respective variant gives a unique combination of support and firmness:
- Helix Sunset: ‘Soft’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Moonlight: ‘Soft’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
- Helix Midnight: ‘Medium’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dusk: ‘Medium’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and extra support
- Helix Twilight: ‘Firm’ firmness, targeted cushioning, and balanced support
- Helix Dawn: ‘Firm’ firmness, moderate cushioning, and additional support
Helix Sleep mattresses with targeted cushioning conform closely, making them ideal for side sleepers. While hybrids with moderate cushioning do not conform as much and are suitable for pretty much all sleep positions. Lighter men and women may feel most comfy on variants with balanced support, while those who weigh 130 pounds or more tend to favor the models with additional support.
Helix Sleep also markets two mattresses with dual-firmness, the Helix Dual Balanced (with targeted cushioning and balanced support) and the Helix Dual Extra (with moderate cushioning and extra support). Both these variants have one ‘Firm’ side and one ‘Soft’ side, making them ideal for couples with different tastes. Lastly, the Helix Nightfall is a hybrid designed for bigger, heavier people. This variant has an extra layer of memory foam for maximum support.
My review of Helix Sleep mattresses found that the customizable aspect conforms to sleepers with a wide range of body types and firmness preferences. The mattresses also offer strong edge support, isolate movement nicely, and create less noise than the normal hybrid. Carnival Helix 9 Spa Menu

Construction Carnival Helix 9 Spa Menu
All 9 of the different iterations of the mattress will differ slightly in construction, but for 6 of the 9 variants, the construction should be quite similar. The six core variants (listed above) are 10 inches tall, composed of 6 inches of pocketed coils and 4 inches of foam.
Helix mattresses differ in firmness and density based on the foams utilized in order to get more/less firmness and more/less support. The 4 different foams utilized within Helix mattresses are high-grade polyurethane foam, memory foam, Helix Dynamic Foam, and a DuraDense Foam (aka support foam). Not all of the variants have all the foams – some only have 3 of the 4 – but it really won’t matter much for the consumer. The foams are merely levers that Helix Sleep can pull to be able to offer 9 different mattresses (and hopefully have a model for everyone). Carnival Helix 9 Spa Menu
Below, I briefly talk about the construction (materials and quality) of the typical Helix mattress, the Helix Midnight.
Cover – Originally, all Helix mattresses have the same cover, made of 100% polyester. I found it to be pliable and thin, allowing for some wonderful breathability. But, if you want something more luxurious, you can opt to swap out the normal cover for the brand’s UltraCool one, which is made up of a phase-change material to regulate temperature.
Comfort Layer – Up top, you’ll discover a heavy layer of memory foam. This type of foam has a slow response to pressure, meaning you are probably going to encounter some great body shaping. Even though it may seem odd for a supposedly medium firmness mattress to incorporate a memory foam comfort layer, it’s crucial to remember that the existence of deep sinkage does not necessarily translate to softness; in fact, oftentimes it gives quite a firm feel.
Transition Layer – After getting past the memory foam comfort layer, you will find a transition layer of poly foam. This layer of foam works to suppress the sinkage of the memory foam and create a supportive, medium firm feeling as you reach the pocketed coils underneath.
Support Layer – Most of the mattress is made up of this section of individually wrapped coils. This system brings a supportive lift to the construction, working to place the sleeper “on top” of the mattress, instead of “in it”. Since these coils are individually wrapped, they are also going to give extra breathability as air flows through the spaces in the coils.
Base Layer – Last but not least, you will discover a thin section of high-density poly foam. This layer doesn’t affect the feel of the bed too much, functioning mostly to provide the pocketed coils something off of which to respond.
Firmness and Support
After taking a look at the construction of the Helix mattresses, let’s discuss their varying firmness levels and feels.
The firmness level of the Helix is going to differ widely depending on the variant you pick out. The Helix Midnight and Dusk, have medium firmness levels, which tends to be quite versatile and thus exceptionally popular. If you have more specific preferences, however, Helix Sleep would be happy to oblige you with more choices.
Lying down on the Helix Midnight, the memory foam layer feels soft and generates some quality body contouring, while the rest of the materials in the Midnight work to control this and make an overall firmer composition. The firmer support foams and individually-wrapped coils also help with re-positioning.
For those who sleep on their back, there is enough good comfort material in the Helix Midnight to conform to your lower spine while supporting your whole back in a neutral position. For larger sleepers or those who want a firmer mattress, there are 2 more choices for you in the Helix Twilight and Helix Dawn models.
Most side sleepers will feel perfectly comfy on the Midnight, however, if you are wanting a bit less pressure while still sticking with a versatile medium firmness, you might decide to check out the Helix Dusk, which uses a body-conforming latex-alternative foam that’s breathable and gives the surface a little bit of bounce.
Those who sleep on their side typically have to be more mindful of pressure since they sleep with all their weight on a smaller region. Those who are lighter than average or people looking for lots of pressure relief might want to stick to the plusher models.
Those who sleep on their stomach should feel comfortable in the Midnight, particularly if this isn’t their main position or they tend to switch things up a lot. Firmer mattresses may be preferable for exclusive stomach sleepers so they can make sure their hips do not dip and over-arch their spine.
Last, Helix Sleep suggests Helix mattresses for sleepers up to 350 lbs or partners who weigh up to 250 pounds each. If you or your partner are substantially bigger than average, Helix has also created a mattress called the Nightfall that is built to accommodate a combined weight of 1000 lbs.
Couples with differing types of bodies or preferences can also select a dual comfort option that pairs Firm with Plush.
Keep in mind that if none of those models seem quite right, you can always have a look at the 4 other beds in the new collection: the Sunset (plush, softer compared to the Moonlight), Dusk (medium feel, slightly firmer compared to the Midnight), Twilight (firm, designed for side sleepers), or Dawn (the firmest variant of the bunch).
Next up, let us chat about motion transfer, or the amount of disturbance that’s detectable from one side of the mattress to the other. While this is going to be important for many people, those who sleep with a spouse may find it especially intriguing as it’ll show just how bothered you will be by your partner’s nighttime movements. According to my research, Helix surpasses expectations for hybrids in this space due to the amount and quality of foam it contains, in addition to the pocketed coils that help keep motion at its source. If you are a light sleeper worried that motion from the opposite side of the mattress will wake you, then you should not have a lot of concern with this mattress. I would say that any of the Helix mattresses would be a good option for couples.
While buying a new mattress, the majority of individuals would like to know whether they’ll feel like they’re sinking “into” the mattress or laying “on top” of it.
While you may experience a little immediate sinkage in the uppermost foam layers, by the time you sink through these layers, you are going to hit the pocketed coils and find amazing support. This combo will appeal to a wide assortment of sleepers, but will satisfy back and stomach sleepers the most.
While I do feel the memory foam compress as I sit near the edge of the Helix Midnight, the individually-wrapped coils stop the mattress from compressing a lot beyond that. I feel quite secured sitting on the mattress.
In my opinion, Helix mattresses are well above average for edge support in comparison to other bed-in-a-box brands, which is because of their recently updated edges containing reinforcement in the coil system. There may be a little compression at the comfort foams when you sit with your entire weight on the side, but lying on the side will feel comfy and safe. Partners who want more space to stretch out normally love stronger edges.
Lying down, I feel like I can get near the edge of the bed without feeling like I will roll off or be ejected from the mattress. Overall, I believe that the Helix mattress has nice edge support.
100 Night Sleep Trial
Among the best features of buying a mattress-in-a-box online is the sleep trials they typically come with. Helix Sleep is no different. You create the mattress that is meant for you, place your order, and in 2 weeks, it is delivered to your home. From the minute you click to buy the mattress, you’ve got 100 nights to test it out (minus the time for delivery, so it is more like 90 nights). If it is not perfect, you can return it free, and get a full refund.
If you do return the mattress, it is not restocked or resold. Actually, Helix locates a local place to donate it. If there’s no way Helix Sleep can find a way to donate your returned mattress, it is recycled instead. Carnival Helix 9 Spa Menu
The Helix Mattress includes an awesome 10-year guarantee that covers defects, but it comes with a few limitations, exceptions, while the burden of proof is on the purchaser (like most guarantees ). Needless to say, you should be the original owner of the mattress to make use of the guarantee, and you need to be sure that you save your receipt as proof of purchase.
Provided that you follow all the manufacturer’s expectations for use, your warranty is valid. That means you need to have a proper foundation (no adjustable bed frames or slats over 4 inches apart) and you don’t use the mattress improperly – no jumping on it!
If your mattress begins to show an indentation of 1” or longer, which is what typically happens when low-density foams break down, you could qualify for a replacement or repair of your mattress.

What’s The Best Way To Care For Your Helix?
Helix mattresses need no turning, but it is recommended that you rotate the mattress possibly a couple of times a year to keep it from wearing down from excess sagging.
For regular cleanup, it is suggested to use cold water along gentle dish soap to clean any dirt or stains. Make certain to clean using gentle circular motions, instead of rubbing.
